Is Phonezap free to use?
Phonezap is free to use. However, you should check with your wireless carrier to see if any fees are charged while sending or receiving MMS pictures, or for mobile web browsing. Most carriers these days have unlimited data.
The snapmylife.com service is free. However, your wireless service provider may charge for picture messages when you send and receive photos, and may charge for mobile web browsing. All carriers have plans that allow unlimited picture messaging and mobile web browsing - perfect for when you get hooked on snapmylife.com!

How do I sign up?
Signing up with Phonezap is easy, just go to our signup page and create an account.
You can also sign up by sending a MMS picture message to zap@phonezap.com from your cell phone.  A basic account will be automatically created for you, and we will send you a SMS authorization code to complete your signup and fill in your account details online later on.

Will my mobile phone work with Phonezap?
Any mobile phone with a camera, and MMS picture messaging, will work with Phonezap! Even if you do not have a Phonezap account, you can simply take a picture with your phone and send it in a MMS message to zap@phonezap.com and an account will be automatically created for you.
We have even created special applications for the iPhone, Blackberry, and WindowsMobile smartphones, which can be downloaded here.
You can also browse Phonezap from any mobile phone browser by going to m.phonezap.com

How do I post a picture?
There are a few ways to post a picture to Phonezap.
You can send a picture from your phone in a MMS message anytime to zap@phonezap.com, and it will be automatically posted to your page.
You can send a picture in an email to your special phonezap email address that you get when you sign up.
If you have an iPhone, blackberry, or Windows Mobile phone, you can use the custom Phonezap application.

How do I receive Alerts?
You can receive alerts to your email or by text message by enabling alerts in your account settings.  You can choose to get an alert when someone comments on your pictures, sends you a message, or when a friend sends a picture.
You can also setup your phone to receive SMS alerts from your account settings page.

Can I send private pictures or make my public pictures private?
Yes! To send a private picture, put the letter ‘p’ as the first character in the message that goes along with your picture. For example: ‘p my new car’. You can also just put a ‘p’ by itself without a description and it will still work.
You can also edit your pictures after you upload them in your account profile and change a picture from public to private and vice versa.
Anyone on your friends list can see your private pictures.

Can I add a message to go along with my pictures?
Yes, if sending an a picture in an email or from MMS, simply put a message in either the subject or body of your email.  You can also add or change your description after your picture is uploaded to your account.

How do I delete a picture?
Browse to your profile page and fine the picture you want to delete, a delete picture link is right below your picture

How do I change my profile picture?
You can change your profile picture by logging into the website and going to your account settings page. If you are using the iPhone app, you can go to the preferences tab and take a new profile picture.
What is a tag?
Tags are descriptive words that you can add to go along with your pictures that will help others find pictures they are interested in looking at.

How do I add a tag to my pictures?
You can add a tag to your pictures after you upload them on the website or in the iPhone app. You can also choose to allow others to add tags to your pictures if you wish.

How can I select a new password, and what if I forget my password?
In your account settings page there is a form to change your password. If you forget your password, go to the website sign in page, and click on ‘forgot password’, we will send a new password to the email address that is on file for your account. If you do not have an email address on your account, there is no way to recover your password.

Can I upload view videos?
Yes! You can send videos to phonezap in an MMS message, or through email to your phonezap email address. You can also upload them directly from the website.  Currently, the iPhone app does not support video, but we are working on it!

How do I get phonezap on my iPhone?
Phonezap is available on the iTunes Appstore! You can also install Phonezap if you have a jailbroken iPhone with the Installer and Cydia applications.

Are my phone number and email address kept private?
Yes! Phonezap never shares your personal information with third parties. We also never send spam email to you. You will only receive email from Phonezap if you have requested to receive email alerts, or if there is a very important update that we would like to share with you

Why did my picture get deleted?
If you have uploaded an inappropriate image, it might get flagged.

Can I block someone from sending me messages?
Yes, go to that persons profile page and click on the ‘block this user’ link, they will no longer be able to send you messages or comment on your items.
